LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90 300TDI CONVERSION. 300 tdi engine conversion, driving fantastically.

Starts on the button every time, good stopping power. This is a true to original spec model, with no real aesthetic modifications.

The engine runs really well, no big plumes of black smoke, never overheats. New front brake callipers + pads. New BF Goodrich all terrain tyres with wolf wheels finished in white, staying true to the original look. New stereo installed, off of Amazon but matches the original interior well. New windshield + windshield seals.

New wheel bearing + seals offside rear to stop an oil leak. New door hinges on both doors. Minimal service history available, I have all the paperwork since I've had it, but before that the previous owners were not that anal about paperwork.

The clock has stopped at 132380, along with the speedo. I have probably only done 400 miles since the clock stopped. I don't have the paperwork for what mileage the engine swap was done at so take the mileage with a pinch of salt and check the MOT history for a clearer idea. Since the last MOT all the advisories have been addressed, the welding has been done, brake lines replaced, new tyres and the handbrake has been nicely adjusted so it should fly through the MOT this time round. This Defender is in good shape, and is an absolute workhorse. The paint has seen better days, but it's over 30 year old single stage paint. There are some dinks, some dents, some scratches, some paint fade. Primarily on the bonnet and front wings. However, if you're looking for a beautiful true to original style Land Rover 90, this is the car for you. The chassis is solid after all the welding it has had done, and the bulkhead looks in good condition from inside the engine bay. As with all Land Rovers there's a few oil leaks underneath, some corrosion on the body etc. A small leak on the inside when it rains, but it's kept in a garage overnight. Amazingly the sun roof is completely water tight. The driver's side door has been repaired due to corrosion underneath, but there are some poor welds from the previous owner.

It's solid, but for peace of mind I would suggest a replacement door at some point. Overall it's a very solid car and it's ready to drive away.
